Frequently Asked Questions
How can I pay for ADHD testing?
Most insurances reimburse for some or most of testing costs. I utilize a Out-of-Network billing assistance service called Thrizer which helps you to know up front what your costs will be, the reimbursement you can expect, and can even manage the process of getting reimbursed from your insurance company on your behalf. You will be required to keep a credit card securely filed with my practice, and the fees for testing will be charged automatically, with half charged on the day of your first session and the balance charged on the day of your last session.
How long does online ADHD testing in Oklahoma take?
Although times vary slightly depending on the person, you can expect to meet with me in three separate sessions, each lasting between 1-2 hours. These sessions can be spread out across several weeks for your convenience.
What is ADHD testing like?
First, I will interview you to learn your history with executive dysfunction and mental health. Preferably, I would also like to interview someone who knew you in childhood, like a family member. Then, we will spend a couple of hours together doing the testing which is a combination of you answering questions about your personal experiences, a test which involves you watching and interacting with the screen, and, preferably, testing where someone who lives with you also answers questions about your experiences. Lastly, we will follow up with a session to review your results and report and answer all of your questions, thoroughly. I won’t end the Zoom meeting until you’re satisfied!
